Graduation Requirements:
To earn a Capac Community School's diploma from Capac Jr.-Sr. High School a student must complete a minimum of 22.0 credits to graduate which includes the completion of the Michigan Merit Curriculum course requirements ( see below) and/or a student has an approved personal curriculum.
Credit (.5) is earned by the completion of each semester course.
Students are encourage to attain a 3.0 GPA (grade point average) or higher. This is the grade point average traditionally accepted by many post-secondary training programs, college/universities and military. Employers seeking internships candidates and scholarships applications for post-secondary programs/training also hold this as the norm GPA minimum for eligibility to apply.
Remember: If you off-set a "C" (2.0) with and "A" (4.0) it will equal = B (3.0). Example: A student is really struggling but is trying in a class, turns in assignments, etc. but it's just not their best subject but can pull out a "C", then they have a class they love and it seems easy, either comes naturally and/or they just love it. Either way.. they can get an "A" and all the rest of their classes are "B"'s then....they have a 3.0 GPA. It's can be and is that easy.
